Meet Jamie

I grew up in a ranching family.  My parents are still ranching in Central Montana.  I moved to Buffalo, Wyoming, in 2005 to take a position as the elementary school counselor at Meadowlark Elementary School. I have been married to my wonderful husband for eight years now.  We have a four year old, a two year old, and a baby who keep us on the go, and we love it. We also have two bird dogs, and love spending time with them in the mountains around Buffalo.  We now live out of town and are enjoying expanding our farm with cats, horses, cows, goats, chickens, and a pot belly pig.  I love running with my dogs, gardening, fly fishing on the Big Horn, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and being a mom.

I have always been interested in helping people.  I feel that I found my niche in the counseling profession.  After being a school counselor for 6 years, I wanted to try my hand in the private sector. I am enjoying this therapeutic setting.  I consider myself a lifelong learner.  I am constantly looking for the next class or certification I can pursue, both to continue my own personal learning but also to benefit the people I help.  I have found my true passion in Experiential Play Therapy and Sandplay.  I continue to pursue further training and education in both areas of study.
